William Peter Moseley was born on 27 April 1987 in Gloucester, England to Peter Moseley a cinematographer, and Juliette E (Fleming). He is the First Child of three children with a younger sister named Daisy Elizabeth Moseley and a younger brother named Benjamin Hugh Moseley.

William wanted to play football since he was 10 years old. Moseley started his career at the age of 11 years old.

He was cast in a supporting role in Cider with Rosie (1998) and He Played a role in Goodbye, Mr. Chips (2002) as Forrester. However, his spotlight Shined as he was cast as Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in 2005.

Moseley completed Grade 13 in 2006, with an A in Media Studies, English, and Drama. In the fall of 2006, he moved to New York for a few weeks to study acting with Sheila Grey, where he trained in Brooklyn For the preparation of The Chronicles of Narnia.
