John Daniel Kraus was June 28, 1910 and he died on July 18, 2004. He was an American physicist known for his contributions to electromagnetism, radio astronomy, and antenna theory.

Kraus was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan In 1910. In 1933, He earned a doctorate(PhD) Degree in physics from the University of Michigan.

He also helped build and operate the University of Michigan’s 100-ton cyclotron, the most powerful particle accelerator in the world at the time.
Kraus was part of the University of Michigan’s nuclear physics research team, helping to design and build the university’s new 100-ton cyclotron machine. During World War II, he worked on degaussing ships for the US Navy and on radar countermeasures at Harvard University.

After the war, Kraus joined Ohio State University, later becoming the Director of the Radio Observatory and the McDougal Professor (emeritus) of Electrical Engineering and Astronomy.

He oversaw the Ohio Sky Survey that listed more than 19,000 radio sources, more than half of which were previously unknown, and then participated in the SETI survey conducted by Bob Dixon. Kraus used signals from WWV radio to track the disintegration of the Russian satellite Sputnik 1.

Kraus knew that an asteroid entered the upper atmosphere leaving a small amount of ionized air behind. This air sends stray radio signals back to Earth, enhancing the signal on the surface for a few seconds.

This effect is called meteor scattering. Kraus predicts that what is left of Sputnik will produce the same effect, but on a larger scale. His prediction was correct; The signal of WWV is significantly enhanced for longer than one minute.

In addition, the enhancement coming from one direction and at a time of day is consistent with predictions of the trajectory of Sputnik’s later orbits. Using this information, Kraus was able to establish a complete timeline of Sputnik’s disintegration. His data also led him to conclude that the satellites are not broken as a single unit.

Toufik Benedictus was born in Jaffa, in 1952, in the new state of Israel to Palestinian parents of Greco-Egyptian, Palestinian and Armenian-Lebanon heritage.

Hinn was raised in the Eastern Orthodox tradition and was baptized by the Patriarch of Jerusalem.

Immediately after the 1967 Arab-Israeli War (“Six Days War”), Hinn’s family immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1968, where he attended Georges Vanier High School in England but he was unable to complete the schooling.

Benny states in his book, that his father was the mayor of Jaffa at the time of his birth and that he was socially isolated as a child and stuttered, but was nonetheless a first-rate student.
